Doodle Jewels

Jewelry artist and metalsmith Carole Bucklew’s freehand textural works are created by fusing metals. When fusing, the artist brings the surface of the metal to the melting point, creating patterned sheets from silver wire and scrap. The base and raised surfaces then flow together allowing the artist to literally doodle in metal. Once cooled, the interfused metals are permanently bonded. Because of this process, beautiful organic textures are naturally created.
