Inspired by nature…

As a child, Marty's favorite thing to do was to play in the woods -- to draw, dream and allow her imagination to travel to far-off places. She received her BFA in illustration from Columbus College of Art and Design and subsequently went on to illustrate many award-winning children's books.

Still enamored by the natural world, she continues to observe, create art and let her imagination soar. Current works include oils, acrylics and mixed media collage, all inspired by her unique interpretation of nature's visual symphony.

"Creating art for me is an adventure into a fantasy world. By visually listening to the landscape and becoming immersed in its lyricism, I explore the depths of my vision and give the viewer an enticing interpretation of the world in which we live. Capturing what I see in this lively way gives me a sense of place and spirit."
