Inspired by the notion of painting with fiber, Deb creates one-of-a-kind wearable art, randomly stitching deconstructed fabric, raw fiber and yarn in what appears to be accidental collisions of color. The result is a unique line of scarves, belts and shawls in bold and vibrant hues. "I love the idea that the simple act of wearing a garment can change both the wearer and the art."
Deb’s background includes traditional fiber arts -- hand spinning, dying and knitting. Yet, textile collage offers a unique avenue for painterly exploration and expression.
In addition to exhibiting at Studios on High Gallery, Deb 's work has been shown at the Ohio Designer Craftsman's Winterfair, and the Penrod Show at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
