Carole Bucklew

Contemporary Jewelry

Inspired by process…

A fascination with the unique features of metal smithing and jewelry has captivated Carole for over forty years. Functional art that is aesthetically pleasing, unique and well made is her focus. Problem solving is an integral part of her construction process. She enjoys exploring the kinesthetic possibilities of wearable art, incorporating moving parts when possible. Materials include sterling silver, fine silver, copper and gold as well as semi-precious stones, pearls, glass beads and found objects for embellishment.

Carole studied art and fashion design in Paris, France at Atelier Martin and Chambre Syndicale De La Couture Parisienne. She attended Columbus College of Art And Design, and later received a degree in Art Education from OSU. She has taught Kindergarten through 8th grade art since 1982.
